How to use the Rig

Pose Mode Basics

To start using the rig, you need to first select the armature and go to Pose Mode by changing the interaction mode, or by using the Ctrl+Tab shortcut.

Once you do that, the rig controls will now have colors and you'll be able to select each control and move, rotate, and scale it.

In Pose Mode, you can only edit the currently selected armature. For switching or adding other armatures, check the Multi-Object Editing guide.

Face Editor

Unlike many other rigs, the Endertainer Rig doesn't have any Face panel. Instead, it has a much more advanced Face Editor. The Face Editor consists of low-level control (controls that only do one/simple job) and high-level control (controls that do multiple/advanced jobs). Also, some controls might have limits that prevent you from doing some transformation.

Here's a list of the Face Editor's high-level controls and what it does.

Note: G = Can be moved, R = Can be rotated, S = Can be scaled

  • CTL-Mouth_Main = Open/Close mouth, change mouth expression, raise and lower teeth [G, R, S]

  • CTL-Mouth_T/B = Control the mouth middle controls [G, R, S]

  • CTL-Mouth.R/L = Control the mouth side controls and change mouth expression and style. [G, R, S]

Custom Properties

Certain features of the Endertainer Rig are bonded to custom properties. These custom properties act as a switch that enables or disables a feature. These custom properties are usually contained in the bones and can be accessed by going to the Bone Properties -> Custom Properties or by going to the Sidebar -> Properties.

How to change the custom properties depend on its type. The Float and Integer types can be changed by dragging fields or clicking on the small triangles on the sides. The boolean type can be changed by ticking or unticking the checkbox. Also, if you hover your cursor above custom properties, it will show you its name and description.
